1. Ukraine is the largest country in Europe. It has an area of 603,628 sq km and borders the
Black Sea.

2. If you didn't know before, the famous Chernobyl city is located in Ukraine. Chernobyl dizaster occured on 26 April 1986, at the No. 4 nuclear reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. Also, the 2017 Petya cyberattack affected the radiation monitoring system and took down the power plant's official website which hosts information about the incident and the area.

3. One of the claimants to the title of Center of the Europe is located near Rakhiv city, in Dilove
village.

4. Metro/subway system in Dnipro can be considered one of the shortest metros in the world. It has only 1 line with 6 stations.

5. One more metro fact. Arsenalna, a station on Kiev’s Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska line (M1), is the world’s deepest at 105.5 metres below ground.

6. The An-255 “Mriya” was invented by Ukrainians and is considered to be the largest freight-carrying plane in the world. It was originally designed for spacecraft transportation, but now is used in freight haulage.

7. Every year, on August 24, Ukrainians celebrate their Independence day also known as national day. The day marks the declaration of Ukraine from the Soviet Union on the 24th of August, 1991.
