The Flag of China

The Five-starred Red Flag, otherwise known as The Flag of China, is the flag which represents the Country of China.

The People's Republic of China (or simply known as China) is a large country located between East and Central Asia. China has existed since ancient times and unlike other former empires, China has almost always been intact up until the modern day in some form or another. This is partially due to the Geography of the continental East Asia where the area consists mainly of plains surrounded by deserts, tundra, mountains, jungles etc.

After many years of turmoil in the 19th and early 20th Centuries, China is now run by the relatively stable CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and has enjoyed massive amounts of economic growth since the 1970s.

The current flag of China depicts a large golden star within an arc of four smaller golden stars, in the canton on a field of red. The five yellow stars represent communism (the big star) and the country's many minorities.
