<br> tag practical use

Without a tag manipulating the text such as <p> or <br />
For example the text wont break Ouside of set Restrictions that may Affect the text such as screen Size.

Its common etiquette to add a space on a self closing tag "singluar tag" such br.

<br/> = ok
<br /> = better

Self closing tags have the forward slash proceeding the element rather than preceeding it as is the case open tags.

Br represents a line break a simple way to understand this is to think of Br as enter "BR = enter key".

Enter

It is important to understand that br is not a space or more importantly a line jump. which is to say you create a gap (white space).

As is the case on the keyboard you would have to use br twice, just as you would the enter key to create white space or a (line jump).
