For no reason at all, I felt like coding a web page dedicated solely to Spearmint Tea.

Introduction

Mint tea is a herbal tea made by infusing mint leaves in hot water. Mint tea made with peppermint leaves are called peppermint tea, and mint tea made with spearmint is called spearmint tea. Today, we will be focusing on spearmint tea, considered to be one of the most invigorating teas around. Naturally, that claim is subject to opinion and I have yet to try some. I became interested in spearmint when my mother started growing some her garden this year. I snipped some leaves and put it a jug of water and let it sit for a day or so. The next day, I came back and tried some and it was intoxicating. My chronic migraine was suddenly eradicated and I tried to tell myself that I was faking it, but I was alone and had no need to act like I was high or anything. (To be honest, I have never been high or drunk or taken any drugs in my life). It was entrancing and I soon realized that my razor sharp focus was blurry and, well, unfocused. I gave some to my sister without mentioning my experience and soon after having a small glass, she felt the same. I was scared of negative side effects and looked it up. Spearmint apparently has depressant in it, and depending on how long you let it release its THC-like chemical, the stronger it is. Then I discovered the tea. I went to wikiHow (one of my favorite websites) and looked up how to make the tea and the webpage continues from there.

How to Make Spearmint Tea

To make spearmint tea, you grab some leaves and tear them up. Rinse them off first of course. Then boil one cup of water to every ten leaves. Once the water is boiled, add the leaves and let steep for at least ten minutes. Continue to steep to desired strength. The longer you let the leaves soak, the stronger the tea. Strain out the the tea leaves, or keep them in if you want the tea to continue strengthening. You may add sugar or lemon to taste if you wish. Other methods are included here.

Overview

Spearmint is an herb. The leaves and oil are used to make medicine. People use spearmint for conditions such as flatulence, indigestions, nausea, vomiting, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.

The oil in spearmint contains chemicals that reduce inflammation (swelling) and change levels of chemicals called hormones, such as testosterone, in the body. Some chemicals might also harm cancer cells and kill bacteria.

At this time there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for spearmint. Be sure to follow relevant directions on product labels and consult your pharmacist or physician or other healthcare professional before using.

I have no clue why I wanted to make a webpage based on Spearmint Tea, which I finally had the oppurtunity to make while writing this code. It is not what you would expect to be honest, but it is a good herbal tea altogether. Thank you if you have read the whole thing. Took me about three hours to write it all.
