Dark UX is the opposite of user-first design. Rather than considering the functionality and usability of a platform, dark UX deliberately confuses and misleads users into choosing certain options over others, normally in the interest of generating more revenue for the company—and essentially turning any user flow into an assault course that users have to navigate, rather than a simple process. Without any more delay let's get started.

1. Tricking questions

While filling in a form you respond to a question that tricks you into giving an answer you didn't intend. When glanced upon quickly the question appears to ask one thing, but when read carefully it asks another thing entirely.

The design purposefully focuses your attention on one thing in order to distract you attention from another.

4. Amazon prime FAILS!!(2017 essue)

See how amazon Prime tricks it's innocent users. First click on button saying Do not continue, which is strongly misdirecting. Continue with what? My subscription or with cancellation process? After clicking you will be redirected to another page where you can still keep subscription and where you have to explicitly declare your unsubscription one more time. Once it is done, Amazon Prime again tries using emotional pressure in order to re-activate your subscription.

5. Down to HELL

There are maky sites that had done this type of mistake. They provide dropdown of more that 15 elements in narrow row.

6. learn from AMAZON PRIME!!

During the check out process, Amazon presents the customer with an Amazon Prime up-sell screen. To the casual observer it might appear that they have two options: ‘Order Now with Prime’ or continue without it (‘Continue with Free One day delivery’). However, these are in fact the same option. Both sign you up to Amazon Prime. The actual continue without Prime subscription is discreetly placed to the left of the screen. The Advertising Standards Authority ruled this summer that this design is misleading.

7. Spam Master is here

At first glance, the marketing sign-up check box for hotel booking site Nustay appears to be an opt out option, reading ‘I don’t want spam emails…’. Only the persistent reader will notice that this is in fact an opt in checkbox. ‘I don’t want spam emails, only highly relevant emails with information, discounts and deals.’

8. Swiss Air – cookie monster

The Swiss Air website allows users to opt in or remain opted out of various cookie categories. However, the big red button overrides any choices the user may have made, signing them up to all cookies. To remain opted out or to opt in to only the cookie settings the user selected they must locate the considerately more discrete ‘Confirm selection’ link.

Tips & tricks you should do, Just Now, 2020

I will not porvide any link of the websites but the analysis I made you can read it from here. I had done a bit of effort to make this so please keep the comments respectfuland UPVOTES!! Without any more delay let's get started.Some of them are listed blow that every UI/UX designer must know.

1. Make sure that the function of the feature matches up with the users' expectations.

2. Don't use dropdowns if there are more than 10 options.

3. Make it easier for the user to log-in/sign-up with their social media accounts.

4. Don’t make your users do hard & extra work.

5. Avoid pointless inconsistency in your projects.

6. Apply different styles on buttons with different functions(alert-not applied everywhere) like skip & next.

7. Make the text content legible, organized, properly formatted and comprehensive.

8. Avoid low contrast because it is equivalent to low usability.

9. Master the alignment.

10. Master making forms- It is something that can irritate user.

11. Choose only the high resolution and high quality pics or icons.

12. Giving feedbacks.

13. Make decision-making simple.
