Web development

Web development is the work involved in developing a website for the Internet(World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network).Here, I am describing briefly about the webpage development and designing.

Mainly, HTML(HyperText Markup Language), CSS(Cascading Style Sheets) and JavaScript are used for web development.

HTML

HTML (short for Hypertext Markup Language) is the skeleton of a website and is the very first thing being loaded in the web browser. Here, the developer defines what elements should the website have: Body, Headings, Paragraph, etc.

This is an example of a simple HTML code:

It only defines a title (will be displayed in the browser tab), a heading line, and a paragraph.

Output is as follows :

The output doesn't look good,does it? It is because all the contents are in default. So CSS can be used to make it more attractive.

CSS

In order to make the ugly-looking sites attractive CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is used. For this, we have to add CSS code to HTML site. We can perform this task either in the same HTML file by writng code inside the script tag or it can be loaded from the .css file. But, writing CSS code in a .css file is more preferred then writing into a HTML code.

This is way better than the previous one even it's not the best. There are many other properties that makes it look even more better.

JavaScript

JavaScript is mostly used to add functionality int a web page to make it attractive. But, here I have not used function because it might be difficult to understand for beginners. Rather I've used a pop up box which alerts the user and the code for it is also simple as follows :
