About Me

Hey! I'm Petunia.

I've loved to code since the late 70s when I was just a wee little child with a Vic20 that had been given to me by my father. I wanted to play games but the machine only came with so many, so I had to spend hours typing code out of magazines if I wanted to try anything new.

My elementary school had one computer for student use; I'm pretty sure it was a Commodore64. I preferred to spend my free time writing BASIC code. Somehow making an 8-bit ball bounce across the screen was a lot more fun than making an actual ball bounce across the playground. Granted, I lived in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where it was usually way too hot for us kids to play outside at recess.

Peer pressure ultimately steered me away from such nerdiness, so here I am at 45 years old learning to code from scratch.
