Emulator or Operating system

When you think. Running Android on a PC like a OS is the only option and it is is not. Maybe then you are just to much of Windows programmer: Used to having setup.exe-files or .msi-files for everything.

So there are 2 options. You can run Android on top of your Windows-system, called emulator, or install it like a OS.

An emulator runs on top of your Windows operating system and shows android in a application kind of window

Blue Stacks. Use Android as an Android user.
You wave. Use Android as an Android user, using less resources than Blue Stacks
Android Studio Use Android as an Android Developper.
It is a complete Android development enviroment with an emulator. You can test self-build app in it or just run as an Android device and use it as an Android user.

Android Studio is tempting, I would like to try something new, build an app for a mobile device. But the old laptop is not capable of running Android studio. I need to focus on my first goal. So I want to get rid of Windows and install Android like a real OS.
Hoping my slumpy windows laptop suddenly turns in to a nice android tablet
