Why copying codes from others without giving credits is bad?

1. Most Mods and experienced sololearners regularly go through codes and community contents and always know whose code it is, so eventually any copied code will be known & marked private after repeated requests to make it private.

2. Often times people copy codes to study and in such cases please keep them private. It's because we also see people collecting praises on someone else's hard work and this is so unethical and it would really hurt the original author.

3. Once it becomes clear that someone is plagiarizing a lot of codes then there is a chance that people may never trust plagiarizer's own codes in the future. It also makes solid ground for account suspension.

4. Please post your own codes, no matter how simple or stupid you may think it is but it ll be your creation, take pride in that and improve daily. I have seen so many sololearners starting from zero and posting mind blowing codes within few weeks.

5. Another big problem is if someone had any programming related doubts after going through that code, then they may not get proper answers/guidance from the plagiarizer wheras the original author would be able to provide proper explanation as it was their creation and they would know the related concepts much better coz they have studied it.

6. Personally in my opinion Codes are the best way to grow on sololearn and will always be. It's because we get valuable feedbacks for improvement and further learning. Now what will be the value of those feedbacks in a copied code, that's y i ll highly advise to be brutally honest to your codes and trust me that in no time you ll start writing mind blowing codes yourself.

7. If a code is copied and a modified version is presented then please do so by keeping original author in loop.

8. Often times we get mesmerized by awesome codes and cannot stop ourselves from posting it ourselves to show our friends, I wouldn't do this myself but if I had to do it I ll make sure that the first thing a user sees is the credit to actual author and links to see the original code themselves. If the author is a fellow sololearner I would definitely tag them in the comments as well to notify them.
