The Philadelphia Eagles are an American football team of the US Profile Football League (NFL) from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They are part of the National Football Conference (NFC) , together with the Dallas Cowboys , the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins of the Eastern Division.

The team was founded in 1933 and retained both names and mascots. It was only in 1943 that the team was forced to enter into a merger with the Pittsburgh Steelers through the Second World War, and it was Steagles that took place this season under the name of Philadelphia-Pittsburgh. [1] Since 2003, the team has played their home matches at the Lincoln Financial Field, which has a capacity of 68,532 spectators.
