How to get COTD

So, You want to earn the priviledge of having your code as Code of the Day?

Fortunately, You've come to the right place because I, myself have had 6 of my codes hosted as COTD.. So there must be some special trick to it... right?

Well, Maybe not.. Although there is a few things a code needs in order to make a code really pop to users. These things include:

User Interaction
Unique Ideas
Detail
Dynamic Outputs

User Interaction

User Interaction is a very important component of every known COTD, Whether you are using prompt boxes or visual inputs (In web codes) you have to style nearly everything so the user enjoys interacting with your code. Interaction also allows user to feel closer to your code, making them enjoy it more. Consider adding sound effects to the UI or adding some sort of sound to your codes.

Unique Ideas

Having a unique idea is the key concept of getting upvotes and likes, Everyone loves to see something new.. So make your code stand out. This sometimes is the most difficult area because it is hard to think of ideas sometimes. Nobody wants to see the same code made over and over again.

Detail

Detail can work like magic. It allows users to have a quality experience. Everything from colors, to specific fonts (Like this article's font, its plain but custom picked), everything needs detail. Detail can also work subconciously, meaning it can send signals to a persons mind without them even noticing. For example, the very slight shadow on this white div is barely noticable but makes a huge difference. Click here to toggle what it would look like without the shadow, makes a difference, right? Did you also notice one side has a darker shadow than the other? It also adds an effect that works subconciously.

Dynamic Output

This is essential for all non-web codes that don't accept user input, because when a user runs your code it is always more enjoyable if the output is different everytime or if the output has something to do with the information the user inputted.
