About us

Skylight Enterprise is a registered business with CIPC, which started in 2013 as an internet caf'e and saw the need to respond to the needs of the community by equipping all people with I.T skills, basic computer literacy and accredited training. We are also an ICDL accredited training and testing center, registered as an E-learner center with Computer 4 Kids which is a certified modular course of progressive ICT Skills, utilising courseware from E-learner.We also have accreditation from Cisco. We pride ourselves in creating jobs to unemployed women, men and youth of our community and we commit to do the same in other coomunities as well.We work with different stakeholders for a developed and sustainable community.We plan to expand and provide our services to other community areas in South Africa, African countries and beyond

1: We are a registered company which has been in operation for 8 years

2: We have created opportunities of employment to more than 50 young people since we started operations, we currently have a staff of 15 young people.

3:We operate in Duduza, KwaThema, Tsakane and Nigel .

4:We believe that we have the necessary knowledge ,skills,equipment and motivation to be of service to the communities of ekurhuleni, Gauteng and South Africa.

The Business entry point is to provide internet cafe services, like photocopies, emails, printouts... etc, and to train in ICT skills and basic computer skills.We also print t-shirts ,cups ,caps and other miscellaneous items.

Skylight & Entrepreneurship centre is the trading name of Skylight Enterprise(PTY)LTD which started its operations in 2014 as an internet cafe. It saw the need to respond to the needs of the community by equipping the people of the community with Information Technology and entrepreneurship skills.It was officially registered as an NPO on the 20th of February 2019
We are ICDL(international Computer Driver's License) accredited training and testing centre.We are also registered as an e-learner Centre with computer 4kids and e-Learning.Computer 4kids & e-learner is a certified modular course of progressive ICT skills, utilising courseware from e-Learner.
Our services start from basic computer skills, Computer 4kids, e-Learning, Entrepreneurship and ICDl courses.We also give coaching and mentoring on how to start and manage a business.We also supply new and used computers, laptops, we also do repairs,upgrades and we install all computer and laptop software.
Our philosophy is that we are a R.A.R.E(Responsible, Accountable, Relevant and Exceptional) non-profit organisation, simply because we offer training and give our students a (one-two months) in service training where they receive stipend and gain working experience.
The competetive advantage of our organisation is that its driven by a vision, mission and values that respond to the holistic needs of our community and many other communities across South Africa.
We pride ourselves in creating jobs for all the unemployed people in our community and we are commited to do the same in other communities.We work with different stakeholders for a developed and sustainable community.We plan to expand and provide our world class services to other townships and rural areas across South Africa and Africa.

Economic factors affecting the industry
One of the economic factors affecting our business is the demand for our service.The growth is in the number of youth who are interested in higher education who take the initiative to apply for admission in tertiary institutions leads to a higher demand of our services as an internet cafe since the nature of our business is associated with the processes involved in applying for tertiary institutions i.e they require internet services, they need to do copies of their documents to scan them and submit them online. This is where we come in Skylight internet cafe.
