What is Kali Linux?

Kali Linux is a Debian Based Linux Distribution (In simple words an operating system) mainly used for penetration testing and security auditing. It has hundreds of inbuilt essential for penetration testing, completely free of charge, fully customizable with multiple language support, with very minimum requirements for your system so almost all modern processors including pocessors with ARM architecture can run Kali Linux.

Installation for PC

In this code i will be demonstrating how to install Kali Linux in your system, For both Computer and Mobile Users. Starting with computers, There are two methods that you can use to install Kali Linux in your Computer, either by Dual Booting or Using a Virtual Machine. I used Virtual Machine(Probably because it is more safe?). First of all, to use a virtual machine, there are many softwares, such as Oracle VirtualBox, you can use that. After downloading and installing the software, you have to visit Kali.org and download the necessary os file. Then simply open the VirtualBox and click on Add new VM, then select the file directory, name the OS(Just write Kali Linux xD) and you're good to go. Make sure that you have a mid range pc to use Virtual Machines(Not any crazy system requirements but little bit more RAM can make the experience smoother). You can go with dual booting if you don't like VM's

Installation for Mobile Devices

There are also a lot of ways to install Kali Linux for mobile devices. But most of the time, using Desktop environment is a bit painful because of the tiny screen, and the crazy space that needs to be free(It can be upto 5 gigabytes!), which basically is a lot for mobile devices. The process i am going to show you, it won't come with a desktop environment, but still it only requires 80 megabyte of Internal/External space. You can find alternatives Here. You basically can install it using Andronix, an application available in Google Play store, Install it, when you will open it, it will show you a list of OS, choose Kali Linux, then choose NON-DE Variant(Or DE variant your wish, the process won't be same), go to Termux, another application, update the packages using commands, paste the given command by the application, wait for the full process, when it is done, start the os using ./start-kali.sh .
