How to develop using Node.js in Android

What is Node.js?

Node.js is an open-source, cross-platform JavaScript run-time environment that executes JavaScript code outside of a browser. Node.js lets developers use JavaScript to write command line tools and for server-side scripting—running scripts server-side to produce dynamic web page content before the page is sent to the user's web browser. Consequently, Node.js represents a "JavaScript everywhere" paradigm,[7] unifying web application development around a single programming language, rather than different languages for server side and client side scripts.

And how to install that in android?

You have two options:

Dory - Node.js:
It is an application with which you can easily manage and run Node.js projects, the problem is that its interface is sometimes confusing and has a few errors, therefore I do not recommend it.
Termux:
Termux is a Linux environment that you can easily install on your device. You can create a project in the same way you would on your PC, install modules, run it and everything you imagine. Once you start using it, it's very easy to learn, and besides serving you for Node.js, you can use it to program in Python, Perl, Goland, and even C, C++ and C#. These will be the following chapters of "Develop without a PC".

Installing Termux:

You can find it in the Playstore gone or Click Here to install it.

When you install and open the application you will see a console, this is Termux. Before you begin, you must update it. Put the following commands:

pkg update pkg upgrade

It will probably ask you for permissions to update, just put the letter "Y" and wait for it to end.

Once finished, you must install Node. js, put the following command:

pkg install nodejs -y

And ready! Now you can start programming with Node. js!

Start a project as usual:

mkdir [ProjectName] cd [ProjectName] npm init

But there is a problem: we can only access the folder where are the files with a text editor.

Fortunately, Termux has editors to use, you can find them in the following link and choose the one you like:
