To start the game, click on the button "new game"
You will see a number of short underlines together that represent the number of letters in the word or expression you have to guess. (e.g. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ).
A word that contains a hyphen or an expression that contains one or more spaces is already indicated. (e.g. _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ ) or (e.g. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ).
Click on the letter that you think is included in the word.
If you guess the correct letter, that letter become green and will appear in the position in the word. It will replace one of the littel lines (e.g. _ _ A _ _ _ _ ).
If the letter you guessed is not in the word, the letter will become red and a part of the gallows tree appear in the image.
If the body appears, you are 'hanged' which means you have lost. You have eight chances before being hanged.
If you are hanged, it is the opponent's turn
If you guess all the letters in the word before you are 'hanged', you win.
You get the maximum score of 8 points if you guess the word without mistakes.
Every error is minus one point.
You loose 3 points when you ask a hint. Thus a negative score is possible.
You can continue to play as long as you are not hung up. The points are added together.
