Mulligatawny

Mulligatawny is an English soup with origins in Indian cuisine. The name originates from the Tamil words miḷagāy (Tamil: மிளகாய் 'chilli') or miḷagu (மிளகு 'pepper'), and taṇṇi (தண்ணி, 'water'). It is related to the soup rasam. Due to its popularity in England during the British Raj, it was one of the few items of Indian cuisine that found common mention in the literature of the period.

Butter chicken

Butter chicken or murgh makhani (Hindi: मुर्ग़ मक्खनी) (pronounced [mʊrg məkʰniː]) is a dish, from the Indian subcontinent, of chicken in a mildly spiced curry sauce. The dish has its roots in Punjabi cuisine. It was developed by three Indians, Kundan Lal Jaggi, Kundan Lal Gujral and Thakur Dass all Punjabi Hindu restaurateurs who were the founders of Moti Mahal Delux restaurant in Delhi, India.

Sarson da saag

Sarson da saag (Sarson ka saag, in Hindi, Urdu) is a vegetable dish from the Punjab regions of India and Pakistan made from mustard greens (sarson) and spices.The dish is regarded as the traditional way to prepare saag and is usually served with makki di roti (literally "unleavened corn bread". It can be topped with either butter (unprocessed white or processed yellow butter) or more traditionally with ghee (clarified butter). Some spinach (called palak in Punjabi) may be added to enhance colour and thicken the dish, though this may alter the flavor.

Chicken curry

Chicken curry is a common delicacy in the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, as well as in the Caribbean (specifically Trinidad, where it is usually referred to as curry chicken). A typical curry from the Indian subcontinent consists of chicken stewed in an onion- and tomato-based sauce, flavored with ginger, garlic, mango chutney, tomato puree, chili peppers and a variety of spices, often including turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom and so on. Outside South Asia, chicken curry is often made with a pre-made spice mixture known as curry powder.
