CSS

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a stylesheet language used to describe the presentation of a document written in HTML, or XML.

Embedded CSS

CSS can be embedded using the Style tag in HTML.

.css file

You can use the link tag to link to a separate .css file which includes your css code.

Importing CSS

You can use @import to import a CSS file.

inline CSS

You can attach css codes to the style attribute in most HTML tags.

SASS

Syntactically Awesome StyleShees (SASS) is a stylesheet language which formats CSS code in an OO way.

Less

Leaner Style Shees (LESS) is a dynamic preprocessor style sheet language tha can be compiled into CSS.

Box Model

The Box Model is a box that wraps around every HTML element. It consists of (in order of layers from inner to outer): content, padding, border, margin

Margins

Creates space around elements, outside of any defined borders.

Borders

Creates a border between the margin and padding of an element, it can be styled.

Padding

The Padding is to generate space around an element's content, inside of any defined borders.

Content

The CSS Content specifies the content in the element, such as the text, images, and any other elements inside the specified element.
