Free AARS Demo!

Starting May 1, 2020, there will be a free demo that you can use to see if AARS is right for your organization. You will be able to simulate the hardware and see how it works with the hardware. Everything is written and translated from Python to JavaScript so you know you are getting the same exact thing. Try it out!

What is AARS?

Our project is called AARS; short for Automatic Attendance Recording System. It takes a collaborative effort of hardware and software to power a system which is complex yet efficient. It is aimed at teachers and school administrators who want to save time by automating attendance. It will reduce errors and make instruction faster and distraction free. Can I Recreate or Alter AARS?

Yes you can! AARS is a free and open source project. We charge on you implementing our hardware and using our own data storage but the software is always free. This means that you can alter the software to meet your needs. Raspberry Pis are also easily hackable so you knwo your configurations will worked on our hardware. Here are some instructions you can use to recreate our software

Do You Have Any Support?

These documents range from how to use our software to altering the software to your needs. You can additionally check this page for updates on AARS hardware and software patches

Can I Try AARS Before Commiting To It?

May 1, 2020 will be the date when you can try the AARS enviroment by yourself. This will help ensure that AARS is right for your organization. This only simulates a Raspberry Pi and is only used to show how the hardware piece of our product works. Instructions are provided so test away!

Wait...I can View My Data Here?

Yup! This website also serves as a visual dashboard where you can see all of the data collected from the AARS hardware. It makes it easier and you can access it anywhere you have wifi. If you prefer, you may fork the website (from our GitHub repository) and use it locally as your dashboard. Click the button to access the dashboard (opens in new tab).
